A Reflection on Hospitality

The Membership Board of our congregation encourages you to invite a friend or neighbor to church on October 20, 2002 - and then to take them out to lunch, at our famous Chicken Dinner! You know what you like about our church-whether it be our traditional or contemporary worship services, our Sunday School or Adult Sunday School, our special heritage and living traditions, our friendly, faithful, and open-minded atmosphere, or simply the spiritual and emotional nourishment you find here. Why not share the things you like about Evangelical Church with your friends and neighbors?

No doubt you share many other good things with your friends and neighbors. Why not share the best that God gives you through Christ in the church you call home? What you have here at Evangelical Church-a faith home, the blessings of worshipping, serving, and fellowshipping together, a sense of being called to live according to God’s purposes, peace, even healing--your friends and neighbors may greatly desire for themselves. God has blessed our congregation abundantly, and as the verse on our newsletter says, we are blessed to be a blessing to others. Please, over the next few weeks, take the opportunity to invite a friend or neighbor to share in the abundance of God’s blessings here at Evangelical Church.
