Welcome to Evangelical United Church of Christ's (EvUCC's) Web Site!  We hope you find our web site helpful, informative and interesting.  EvUCC is the oldest and largest Protestant church in Highland, IL - yet we worship God and serve the community in a spacious and modern facility. 

We invite you to take the next opportunity to be our guest in worship. We offer two worship services each Sunday morning: a traditional service at 8:00 a.m. and a contemporary worship service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school for grades Pre-K thru 6th also meets at 9:30 a.m. Nursery care for infants and toddlers is available throughout the morning. We also offer special services on Christmas Eve, Easter, and many other times as well.

High School and College

Senior Recognition

Senior Recognition Sunday will be May 4.  The Board of Christian Education would like to recognize  the accomplishments of ALL graduating Seniors:  high school and college.  Seniors will be recognized at both services and a reception will follow both services in the Fellowship Hall.  Scholarships will be awarded that day as well.  

High School Seniors - please bring a senior picture to the office for our display board as soon as possible.  If you are a graduating Senior, please let the office know so we can recognize you in church!

Mothers and Others Banquet

It is time to mark your calendars and make plans to attend the 75^th Mothers’ and Others’ Banquet, Friday, May 9, at 6:30 p.m.   There will be a catered dinner followed by a program including a Black Light Show by the Miniature Puppet Ministry of the First Methodist Church , Trenton .  There will be more details later but put it on your calendar now.

     Tickets will be on sale in the Narthex on Sundays, April 27 and May 4 and will also be available in the church office.  

NO TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER MAY 4^TH.

Confirmation Events

All youth 7th grade and up are invited – and your friends!  Come see how much fun we have!  We play with puppets, sing, pray, eat, do skits, and play the pretzel game.  Our next Youth Nite Worship is May 4 at 7:00pm.  The theme will be Faith Prints.  We are each called to leave faith prints on our world and in our relationships.  These prints are evidence that God is alive in our hearts, that we have been transformed.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend the youth's transformative worship service!

The new sound and projection system in the Sanctuary bring a new set of demands on EvUCC.  We need a team of techno-savvy people to be trained to run the system and to share the responsibility of staffing it.  If you are interested in computers, sounds or learning more about them, please contact the church office.
