The Wee Care Day Care program is for families whose parents work and require alternative care for their young children, beginning as early as six weeks of age. Kid Care is a companion program to Wee Care, providing before school and after school care for children enrolled in Kindergarten through 6th grade. We believe that children are a gift of God, and in this Christian environment we provide a variety of experiences that help them to become the people God intends. The Director is Karin Zbinden. The Associate Director is Dawna Miller. For information, call Wee Care at 654-6647.

The Illinois South Conference of the United Church of Christ has a campground outside DuBois, Illinois. The camp is in a beautifully wooded area alongside a lake. Each summer, DuBois Center offers camps for children ages 5 to 18. Camps for younger children are three days long, older campers stay a week. Depending on which program the campers enroll in, they will be housed in tents or cottages. All campers are allowed to participate in horseback riding, swimming, and boating. For children of EvUCC members a portion of the camp fee for one camp will be paid.

During the school year, DuBois Center offers many different day long and overnight opportunities for people of all ages. A major event of the year is the DuBois Fall Festival held on the first weekend in October each year. The Festival has food booths, a children’s craft area, horseback riding, and dozens of craft exhibitors from around Southern Illinois. For more information, call 618-787-2202.
