This program is for 7th and 8th graders who meet on
Sunday mornings and at other times. The rite of Confirmation
takes place on Pentecost of the 8th grade year, following
completion of various requirements.
Our Confirmation
Ministry begins with a commissioning on Rally Day during the 9:30am service. We
also give NRSV
Student Bibles to all the 7th grade youth beginning their
confirmation journey. We expect that all participating
youth, their parents, and guides and leaders will join us for
this special service.
Acolyte training for 7th graders
will be offered. Participants will also be given an acolyte schedule
at this time.
Confirmation Event Schedule:
February
3: Worship as a class at 9:30 - Souper-Bowl Sunday
collection. Don't forget to sign in!
February
8-9: Retreat at DuBois Center. We will leave
the church at 6:00 and return by 4:00. Details to
follow.
February
10: Class Session - meet in the Youth Room at 9:30
a.m.
February
17: Class Session - meet in the Youth Room at 9:30
a.m.
February
24: Small Group Mentor Session - meet with your
mentor in the Youth Room at 9:30 a.m.
Thanks to the Seventh Graders who
helped with the Christmas Program as Mary, Joseph, and
shepherds. The program was GREAT and it was fun seeing
you all up there participating!
